Ahoy,
My wife and I recently bought a house and I wanna put a small recording studio in the attic. It's an sturdy old house and the floors in the attic are stone. I want to record rock  so some isolation from outside is necessary. So...any ideas how to optimize this room? All and any comments or ideas would be thoroghly appriciated :!:
The dimensions are as follows

9m x 5m
The roof forms a 90 degree angle 4.15 m high in the center.
the door is in the center of the one of the 9m long walls.

Cheers,
Jeremy

This is what I've come up with so far. It's a little cosy. I'll be using a laptop and near field monitors so I won't need to much room. Waddaya think?

OK - i'd use the space like this - it uses all the volume.

Yeah...I could definitely use the space. I was working under the impression that these beams would carry sound from room to room. Do you think the space is two small to cut into two rooms?
One of my objectives is to be able to get drum sounds with out having to constantly record and playback (hence 2 rooms) although the sound quality is obviously the first concern.

p.s. This site rocks!

Can you use the space in the hallway between your room and the staircase??

Brilliant! I love it!...but the wife doesn't. It's an old house, late 1800's, and she wants to keep the old house charm. Women.
