V. Cool.

I live in Southern Ireland, and have been considering investing in your design service for some time. I was wondering if you or Len had any problems with Irish builders not sticking to the materials and plans listed ? Acoustic design often follows very different rules to conventional building, and some of the builders I've had experience with here cut alot of corners even using the conventional theory !

Nathan - I understand that Ken had a very good builder who actually added to the project in creating the sloping/curved control room ceiling.

Why don't you go and visit him??

Newbie here ...

How can I find out the soup-to-nuts cost of this studio
building project or similar?

I like the basic design, but have absolutely no experience
in the construction field.

Is this the kind of project where I get the plans and
architectural drawings from a Production
company like John Sayers, and bring it to a local builder ... ?

If there is a better forum area to discuss this in, please clue me in ...

Thanks!

- Freddie

My first post here.... been lurking for a week or so.
Ditto to everything freddie said.
And I noticed in another thread, someone mentioned about a lot of people picking up on John's 'Cheers' farewell.... I've been using that for a couple of years ,yself, but I don't know where I got it from. Quite possibly saw it at the end of one of John's posts on another forum and liked it, and pilfered it! Who knows.
