If the layers are to be installed in a frame or in plastic and then fabric, what is the reason for gluing layers?

I know gluing should only be done around the perimeter of the trap. But is this just to make the trap more sturdy? I haven't yet worked with 703, but I wonder if it's truly necessary


An unrelated question, are there any charts out there that show the ...hmmm.. reflectiveness of different materials? For example, to know what the change will be to the high frequency absorption of your traps by using FRK vs. plastic vs. thin wood on the front of your traps?

I don't think you need to glue them.

One of the "bags" manufacturers recommends taping up the edges with packing tape to give a more "finished" appearance... this would also hold both layers together.

You do not need to glue them. The friction should hold them together if you are doing a frame or wrapping them in fabric.
