Hello all.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice, tips the
would like to share about this room. It is approx
20 x 20. wood floors, wood walls, and a wood ceiling.
Drums sound very bright and reflective in there right
now with not much of anything. I would like to control
the reflections some and am concered about the ceiling
and overhead microphones. Corner loading the drums in the back seem to give the best sound. The old stove in the picture has been moved to a different room. The studio is in a 1855
house.
Again any advice would be much appreciative.

Some things I forgot to mention:

Ceiling height is exactly 8 1/2 foot. All wood is
painted. Room is 20X20
I use 2 curtains at the front entrance into the room
to contain reflections when tracking vocals or other insturments in the other rooms.

Perhaps 2 angled walls to tone down the reflectivity, but keep the room live sounding.

If you find after that it is too live (not reflective) then trap 2 of the walls.

Just some basics. Trapping the ceiling is also an option to start with as well as it will kill the floor to ceilign reflections you are dealing with. Especially in such a short room.
