I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Bag End active bass absorber.

I like the idea that it's tunable, and gets down about as low as you'd ever need. My main concern is that it will likely be most effective for only one location in the room.

Hello:
The problems with an electronic solution are:
1. The phase of the wave being generated from a single point source does not match up with the phase of the bouncing wave forms which propagate from the total wall surface. It fixes one area while causing problems in another.
2. The Q of the problem frequency mode is very high and electronic solutions don't track speed of sound changes which can vary greatly during the day. I'm not sure I got the total design cuz' all the graphics and text did not come up on the link.
