hello ! i just got a new monitor, it's Adam P11A. i really dig the highs n the hi-mids but the lo-mids n the lows are a bit dissapointing. they sound too paper?? to me (kinda flabby, n boxy). so here's a question for all you experts out there....
1) is it ok to replace the woofers w/something else ? i probably want it to sound like it's big brother, Adam S2A. i heard that they sound pretty similar except the lows r much tighter on the S2A's due to their 7.5" hexacone woofers. by the way the P11A's woofers r 7.25" nomex paper cone.
2) what r some of the recomendations for a tight sounding woofers that would fit on the Adam P11A's ?

by the way here's the link to the technical data of the Adam monitors http://www.adam-audio.de/downloads/techdata.pdf

thank-you

Sorry, but the short answer in no.

You can't just mix and match speakers in a finished design. Chances are 99.9% that it won't work properly.

The P11A woofer appears to be a custom design from Peerless. The Hexacone woofers are made by Eton, but they won't fit.

If you absolutely insist on trying, the only available woofers that I know will fit are the Peerless 850439 and 850467. Suppliers in Australia or the US are probably best if you're in Korea. http://www.gsoaudio.com/index2.htm http://www.wescomponents.com/Peerless.htm http://www.madisound.com/

But, like I said, you're very likely going to do much more harm than good.
