I have a Macintosh G5 and an external hard drive in my studio that make way too much noise. Anybody have any advice on building an acoustic isolation box for them?

Aloha,
Have you considered these? (Or a design based on them?)

Also, have you tried a forum search on the topic?
Hope this helps.

I have done a lot of searching and forum reading, but I completely missed the one you suggested. The GCAB is exactly what I need, but it's a little pricey for me -- OK, a lot pricey for me!
Does building a box out of Owens-Corning 703 panels make any sense? Or plywood lined inside with foam?

Byrd, that is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much, and if you know who "LaptopPop" is please thank him for the idea.

Just a word of caution here. Because of how well they isolate, they also insulate and require VERY good ventalation. You could easily over heat your G5 and it'll shut it's self down during a session.
