Okay so i've read all the forums i could find on Line & Low Voltage track lighting, and my question is this.......

Will Low Voltage Track lighting give me problems in my Control room if;

1. Lighting is on separate circuit then TECH POWER.
2. I will not be using a variac/dimmer on the Low voltage Track Lighting (Track Lighting will be wired via standard on/off switch)

I'd like to use Low Voltage Track lighting because it will save energy and the track lighting fixtures i like (small & MOD Looking) only come in Low Voltage.

The one's i like have transformers!!! Why is one better for "us" then the other???

Ballasts are noisy (such as fluorescent lighting). Not only audible, but can be electrical as well.

Transformers on low voltage...I'm sure they make some decent units, but the one the previous owner of my house installed in the kitchen...That S.O.B. is noisy! Mostly audible noise.

What exactly do you have in mind for your lighting?
