Hi
While designing my main control room, I´ve discovered some unused space in the area that´s meant to be the control room and I want to use this space for an isolated machine room for my computer. What i have´nt quite figured out yet is how to whire this.
Are there any "patch-bay" like solutions for projects like this one?
I mean, if my computer is placed in a separate room, should I just buy long cables and drill holes for them, or are there "wall mounted" outlets for all diffirent types of plugs (like firewire, dvi, adat-lightpipe, usb, etc...)???
I´ve seen these solutions in many studios I´ve entered as an artist, but never given it much thought untill now. Perhaps I should take a tour through some of the studios in my home town, but I just want to check out the forum in the comfort of my own home...

Hello,
Typically for the application of computers such as USB, Firewire, etc, it's usually easier to go ahead and just buy longer cables. However, depending on your budget and your knowledge of terminating the several types of connectors; Fiber, DVI, VGA, etc, it can be expensive and a real pain in the butt.
