I'm building a small basement studio ( approx. 12 x 18 ) and I'm not sure whether I should deviate from the standard 15 amp outlet/breaker scenario. I plan to have 3 outlets (with at least two of the three sharing a breaker). I'll only ever have 2 guitar amps running off the shared breaker and a small DAW with 4 or 5 processors running off the other standalone outlet/breaker. Should I run 20 amp breakers (with the appropriate outlet & wiring) since the focus of the room is operating electrical equipment?

I would go ahead and put in the 20 amp breakers. This should give you the head room when you power everything up.
