before a few months building and asking everybody. I must say, the only answers that convinced me were this forum answers (thanks Steve and other guys who help me).

Now, I'm asking some questions about the diference of acoustics in a rehearsal room and the studio acoustics. when people rehears with drums guitar amps and bass amps their ears are in diferent places of the room space. And sound sources are in diferent places of the room too.

In a studio , monitors must be in a position at the ears height and so many conditions to reach the best listening. And monitors are placed for a engeneer placement. Is not the same earing in the engeneers place than earing next to a wall, don't it?

Therefore, does studio acoustics rules works in the rehearsal rooms?

The following draw is a example of a rock band rehears. Red circles are musicians heads. All the 4 musicians needs to listen their voices in the corner (V) speakers. There is no place for individual monitors.

You kind of took the words out of my mouth... I was wondering the same, with the following in mind: sound doesn't need the accoustical quality of the control room, but it's very important to control it to a acceptabel level for your own ears. In a room of that size chances are the red dots will go deaf without proper protection...


So: no answer, but hoping for one too!
