i was wondering dose anyone know of some good Acoustic analysis software for Mac Os x or even PC for that matter,

i have until recently been using Spectrafoo for os 9, since i bought my new machine i can no longer use it. Is there any alternatives for room testing with impules testing as well as frequency analysis?

many thanks

To expand further on this...

How would would accuratly "analyze" their room. I am unsure which freq I am having problems with. Can I do it simply with a program and a microphone, or do I need the specific measurement microphone along with some type of eq?

I can't tell you what's available for Macs, but ETF is very popular for PCs because it's very capable yet reasonably priced ($150).

The three main things to test for are 1) frequency response, which has to be resolved to 1/24th octave or better below 300 Hz, 2) reflections, and 3) reverb time at 1/3 octave frequencies and also modal decay to a much finer frequency resolution. ETF does all of this very well.
