Elastomeric Roof Paint

Just a thought...
Has anyone ever heard of Elastomeric? It's a very thick paint designed primarily for roof applications, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on its applications for sound attenuation. It expands and contracts similarly to acoustic caulking.
I was wondering if it would make a good adhesive for rock wool. I'd paint it on MDF or sheetrock between the framing, and lay the rockwool on it.
Only a theory... I've seen many products that have layers of different material in them and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this type of application. It woud make for a very efficient seal if applied properly.
