Eric,

Congratulations on your mains! What did you wind up building? Maybe you can post some pics!? :D

I built a kit from madisound called the solist. It uses the scanspeak driver and tweeter that you recommended in another kit, and it was already ported out the front so I wont have to reroute the port when I soffit mount them. I really like the way that they sound. I think the next projec after the killatones might be a sub.

Cool! Did you work out some sort of baffle step decompensation filter like we discussed?

I haven't done it yet because they are about 5 months away from being soffit mounted, so it is not a major concern yet. I'm still working in my other room. I'll run my numbers before you when I do it though. Thanks for all the help.

I have recieved the parts for the killatone, and I have the boxes constructed. I just need to decide if I'm doing black or something weird and colorful. They should be done in a couple of days and I'll give the sound report. If I can get my digital camera to transfer onto my computer I'll send pictures.

Eric,

Great! Looking forward to it. If you like, you can send your pictures and comments to me and I'll post them in the original thread. Hopefully we can build a collection of people's projects and opinions there.

Btw, I say go for the weird and colorful! :D

The final finishing is finished (?) I plan on loading the components tomorrow, so I should have a sound report soon.
