is that particleboard??

I'm from spain and I don't know exactly what is particleboard. Is that picture particleboard?? is this material usually cheaper than MDF or OSB??

Could I float a floor whit this kind of material?? maybe 2 ply of 15 mm??

That is actually "veneered" particle board (or MDF, they look very similar) - the core is particle board or MDF (weight is the difference, MDF is heavier) then, they laminate REAL wood veneer over the inner core so it looks like the real thing.

This is heavy, dense stuff and should work well for floors - you would want something tougher for a covering though, or the veneer will wear through where people walk the most (or move heavy equipment in and out).

MDF stands for Medium Density Fiberboard; it's a manufactured product from wood fibers and glue. Particle board is usually more sawdust and glue, has less strength and weight - your pic looks more like MDF, because of the obvious strands showing inside.
