Does anyone here have any info on the absorption coefficients of this foam?

If I remove the facings, will this foam be useful for absorption?
Thanks!
Mitch

Mitch,

As best I can tell that type of foam has no acoustic usefulness at all. If it did, the vendor would probably list absorption data.

My $0.02: It's a closed cell foam. That's no good for absorbing sound. But just fine for insulation, which is what this product is made for. (It appears to be an alternative to polystyrene "blueboard.")

Thanks Ethan and Jeff. Yeah, I'm afraid you're right. I used them for spacers, glued on the back of rigid fiberglass panels, one 4" x 6" block on each corner and on the center, thinking they would add absorption aside from spacing. Now it seems I'll have to remove them and replace them with smaller 2" x 3" blocks to function only as spacers since they are of no use for absorption and may even harm it with their big size. Oh well...
