I was thinking about the back wall of my small studio and....

We had discussed before putting some bass traps all the way to the back and an obsorber in front of that.

What would you think of a 50% absorber and 50% pegboard pannel?

PS. I am going back to the soffits in the front.

How deep is the control rrom - looks pretty small to me - if so I'd probably not want a reflective surface behind me.

I should have clarified on the drawing. I just drew the front and the back walls without everything in between.

With the tratments shown that wall will be about 13.8 feet from the front wall and 10 feet from my mixing position.

I will be recording vocals in the back of the room as well, so maybe the early reflections from that live surface are not such a good idea.

I hope to get the soffits built in the next week or two.

Ok - that should be OK then I suspect - it's only a small proportion of the wall and it will keep some highs in the rear of the room for vocals.

It would probably be a better idea if I made the perforated pannels removable.

That way when mixing I can pull them down.

I am curious as to if I should angle the back wall either in or out?

A few degrees maybe or just keep it flat?
