I am making a new studio, and i want to have a guitar cabinet with miked in an isolation room and the head of the amp in another room with the player listening through monitors or headphones. How would i wire tihs using wall plates? Can i just used normal mic cable to wire it or do i absolutlely need speaker cable?

How are you going to power the cabinet if you don't run speaker cable?!!?

You'll need speaker cable for the amplified signal going to the cabinet from the head.

Then you'll have mic cables for the mic connections.

And depending on what type of headphone system you're running, you'll need a line for them too.

:D
