How do I make a closet disappear?

My recording space keeps changing... (blame my wife ;) )

Now it looks like I'm going to have a space with a closet across the backside. The closet is about 2'6" deep. I may be able to remove it. If I can, no worries. If not, how do I handle it?

1) Put bass hangers inside and put fabric covered 703 over the front

2) Put 703 inside, and put slats across the front and put 703 in front of that

3)???

Thanks much,

(please excuse me replying to my own post  )

3) Putting 703 in front of the closet just like the back of a room, and enough 703 inside to damp problem resonances, but still use it for storage.

4)???

Hi
A small closet is great for close micing of guitar amps.

Lee, I've been told (several times, occasionally by someone other than myself) that

1. It's OK to talk to yourself, lots of people do it.

2. It's sort of OK to answer yourself, others don't always listen or understand us, so someone's got to...

3. It's ALMOST OK to ARGUE with yourself - not all of us (except me) are right ALL the time :=)) (cough, gasp, ackkk, gurgle)

4. When you start LOSING those arguments, it's time for some SERIOUS help...:=)

5. And, if the arguments ever culminate in VIOLENCE, you KNOW you're over the top, pop :=))))

This free (and worth every penny) analysis brought to you by Acme Rubber Rooms, Inc - "You'd be CRAZY not to buy one of our rooms - Oh, wait, you bought one because you ARE crazy - oh well..."

BTW, I'd go with John's preference too - although, being addicted to options, if you could figure out a simple way to hinge the 703 across the door and still seal it, I'd probably do that - Jimi's idea might come in handy some time... Steve
