John Sayers RIP

Post by gullfo »

it is sad news to report that our host John Sayers has passed away. his stepson has posted a note on facebook.
https://www.facebook.com/sebastian.thom ... 9433730697

for many of us, this has been our place for learning and sharing, and John will be long remembered as the gracious person who took considerable time in his life to share his knowledge and ideas with us. :(

Well said Glenn. For those not on Facebook, here are Sebastian's words and pics.

This week our industry lost a giant. John L Sayers was a multiple ARIA award winning engineer and producer working on some of the biggest Australian records of our generation.
He would go on to be one of the foremost studio designers in the world and share his knowledge via his recording forum and website http://www.johnlsayers.com.
But more than all of these things and accolades he was my step dad.
R.I.P Dee Dee, you will be missed. ❤️

John and this forum are the only reasons I ever got in to studio design and acoustics, I owe him much and am very shocked by this sad news.

My condolences to John's family.
