Rew eq Filters - Bandwidth?

Hi People,

I have a Home Studio Setup with treatment etc and am focusing/listening on different Speaker Positions to find the best one.

I have taken a bunch of measurements and wanted to use the EQ correction within REW (will use Sonarworks on final spkr placement).

I'll be generating the eq correction in REW using the "Generic" setting and inputting the filters in FabFilters ProQ3.

Can someone please tell me what Bandwidth the Generic filters in REW are (db per Octave)?

I couldn't find any info but is probably staring me in the face.

Thank you,
mrfye17

i'd reach out on the REW forum to ask about how to set up the Sonarworks. they're likely to have a template and/or people with experience in setting it up.

I expect REW will send the appropriate figures to ProQ3. Sonarworks does it's own analysis, won't take advice. Strikes me as unnecessary if you have done the job already using REW and ProQ. You may find as I did that Dirac Live does a better job.

HI Dan Dan,
Thanks for that.
I have inputted filters into Q3 using the default 12db/octave but didn't want to be presumptuous...lol!

When I finally find the 'best' speaker position I'll be using Sonarworks but didn't want to go thru that whole process on quite a few speaker placements but rather wanted to get a ball park idea on imaging, depth etc. which should suffice.

Cheers,

I am not familiar with that section of REW, but on a quick review I see what you mean. Best ask JohnPM in the forum.

Thanks Dan,
I couldn't find 'JohnPM' anywhere...could you possibly post a link please?
