Anyone ever found GM4731 sealing rubber in the UK?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Anyone ever found GM4731 sealing rubber in the UK?

Post by John Steel »

I'm asking this question in hope rather than expectation as I suspect the answer is "no", but has anyone who has built sealed doors in the UK ever managed to source the fabled General Motors 4731 profile sealing rubber as detailed in Rod Gervais' book or even seen it for sale? I can find a similar but non-identical British made products but not this stuff. Any insights gratefully received & best wishes to all. John Steel.

i've seen it available in the US but you might instead check zero international https://us.allegion.com/en/home/product ... pping.html and amazon.com and see if they have something similar in the UK - https://www.amazon.com/Metro-Moulded-TK ... 0072GYV3W/
