Studio Designer wanted

Post by limitedheadroom »

The title says it all really. I hope it's OK to make this enquiry here.

I am starting a new venture, have a space and need to get moving on the build ASAP. There is so much info on this site that I simply do not have the time to go through it all to the necessary level of understanding whilst not progressing.

I will be doing most the building myself with a business partner (employing a builder where necessary). But need some assistance on the design etc etc. The innitial plan is to build a control room within the space (the red box), and make that the start, also another wall that the other end to seperate a section off from the live room for a lounge/kitchen area. I would probably like the control room to be floating to improve acoustic separation from the live area.

I do have more advanced plans than shown but wanted to simply demonstrate the current idea. I am currently looking for a structural engineer to discuss the weight loading of this structure as we are not on the ground floor, and have had a first meeting with an HVAC supplier. And obviously am putting as much time as possible into this at the moment to try and move things along.

Please let me know about discussing this job further, thank you
