Is a new air cavity created here?

Hi, I´m considering adding two layers of something to my wall, for example... two layers of 5/8 drywall with GG in between. The thing is, I´m from Mexico and GG is not easily available, so:

1. What happens if I screw two 5/8 drywall together with no GG in between? Will this create a resonance point? Or would they be just more mass?
2. What happens if I have one concrete board + one 5/8 drywall togheter with no GG in between?

Thanks, this forum is helping me a lot

It will be fine. The GG helps of course, but mass is the most important.

Again, it's all about the mass. You could put any two materials together and in the end, their total mass will equal that leaf's mass in the MSM equation.
