Hi there,

my name is Win and i live in germany.
I´m a guitarplayer and have to rebuilt a small practice room in my house.

I tried to read and understand as much as possible in the last weeks here.
Unfortunately this room has 3,40 X 3,35 m, 2,40 high.

i have two possible opportunities to place my recording table which i like to show you below.
I made this diagramms esp. for you !




i prefer the first one in the corner.

Now i need some help to fit the room for good acoustics.
I do NOT want to record anything with microphone
I do NOT want a "dead" room.

I like to have a auditory source width playing guitar, also with guitaramps in the room.
I´m free (now) to chosse any materials for floor, walls and ceiling.

I tried to get "Insulco Semi Regid" which now is "Fletcher Insulation 50mm Semi Rigid rolls and sheets" - BUT
they do NOT deliver to Europe - so, it would be kind to find something similar in Europe !!

I hope to get some kind advice from you Pros here,
i apologize for my english and mistakes here.

Hi there. There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible.
The announcement leads to this post (click here). Actually, several people on this forum who are experts will most likely not reply if you don't do what is written in that post. Many others who are very helpful, will probably not reply out of respect for the moderators' wishes.

That said, you should never, ever set up your desk in a corner. It's a really bad place, acoustically. Your second version is much better: facing the short wall.
