Hello guys, i have opened another thread on this matter at construction but thats for "construction" stuff i guess!

We took the decision to destroy our old studio and build it again (just the insides) .
We managed to get a higher ceiling and a bigger place (for the live room) but now we really are confused about how we should design the place so we get the right Control Room - Live Room analogy and end up with a nice Studio design!

I will include all photos needed!

What we are after:
We are after a recording studio that meets professional needs so the acoustics and looks should offer them.
The studio is located away from the city and we would like to create a nice natural experience for those about to record and/or mix there!
But we lack of knowledge about all those amazing things u guys know so we really need your help!!!!

Let's jump in to the technical stuff. I will post floor plans (for dimensions)

The walls surrounding the concrete floor are cinderblocks filled with construction sand

We recently demolished the separating wall because we want it to be made with the same materials(cinderblocks) cause it's going to hold the roof that is going to meet the height of the Live room. But as u understand we really have no clue on where we should put it!

the entrance to live room and control room is going to be done from the 2 outiside doors the third one (bottom right) is actually a window with an inside door for insulation, so that thing opens! :)

And The live room

Difficulties and limitations:
Please Keep in mind that we own 3 multitrack machines that are 900mm X 800mm , the console is 1600mm WX 700mm L, monitors are ADAM A7x and there's also a 3 person sofa and 3 rack units with casters(428mm W 400 mm L).
Judging by the place i don't really think we can have a machine room so i think we are after a CR design that can take all these stuff :S

We are intrested in creating 2 small Iso booths 1 for a singer( for a live recording) and one for a guitar amp.

At friday there are people coming to make the separation wall so if you are going to suggest plans please include that even if you are not 100% sure about everything else.

Dont Care about bathrooms and lobbys and kitchen those are taken care of. Just 1 CR and 1 LR

Don't think about budget.

Thank you in advance for your valuable time!

Here are photos from the old CR

I would suggest that you buy two books and study them carefully: "Master Handbook of Acoustics" by F. Alton Everest, and "Home Recording Studio: Build it Like the Pros", by Rod Gervais.

You are not ready to build anything yet, as you do not have any design yet!
