Hey guys,

I have been reading a lot and doing some homework (recommended by the masters on this forum) on studiodesign, and it made me draw a first controlroom design.

I would love some feedback on my first draft of my controlroom.

Thanks upfront for any ideas or comments to help me make my controlroom the way it should be.

I checked the early reflections and i think i got my angles right for the splayed walls. Also I was thinking of using some kind of angled cloud on the front of the controlroom to get the reflections way of the listener position.

Some pictures below with measurements. I didn't yet draw the plywood and drywall but Final inside studio size would H 2,15m X B 3,44m X L 4,99m .

You could do it like that, but it makes the soffit interior really small, and it also complicates construction. I would just make the inner-leaf itself into a rectangle (not splaying the front part of the wall), then build a simple angled section to join the soffit to the side wall. It's much simpler, and leaves more space inside the soffits.

Also, I'm wondering why you are leaving a very large gap for one side of the MSM cavity, and a small gap on the other side?
