Basement Studio Design

Post by gravy7t »

Hello Everyone, My name is Josh Graves. I am currently starting the design process for construction to renovating the basement for studio purposes. Below is the picture of the room dimensions as it is currently set up. The ceilings are 7 ft. tall. My approximate budget is $6000 to $8000. One addition that I want is to include a "Lounge" area to be separate from "Working" areas such as the control room and recording booth.

My clients are currently 100% vocalists in my current setup, with a 7ft by 6ft booth and would like to upgrade to a larger recording booth that will allow for better acoustics as well as the space for drums and a small band (2-3 pieces). I have several designs that I have come up with that I can provide but I figured I would initially post the dimensions before renovation. Please feel free to provide any suggestions, opinions and anything else that I need to provide, I will.

Thank you.

Any of these look like a good acoustically sound design?
