Hey guys. Anyone looking for 2300 sheets of 3 pound 2" foil faced rigid fiberglass?

There is a listing on ebay right now for exactly that.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

In indiana. Feel free to buy it up and send me 25 sheets as a finders fee. :D

this made me curious so I poked around and based on the information surmised that it was this JM product.

If you notice the unfaced product is much better as an absorber than the faced product that they are auctioning.

It actually says right on there: "BOARD MANUFACTURED BY KNAUF FIBERGLASS."

But I have no idea what number. I think you can get the foil off fairly easily too.

Actually JM don't make it either - they subcontract out the manufacturing and have the manufacturer put their name on it.

I emailed this guy and asked him if he was interested in selling this stuff in smaller quantities and he said if it didn't sell, he would consider it.

I'll post more info as I receive it.

Doh! Missed that. Here is the spec sheet then

It would seem that the FSK improves the bass absorbency but decreases the mid and high frequency absorbency. substantially.

As for removing the FSK I wouldn't bet on that being easy. It is glued to the fiberglass so I would think that it couldn't be pulled off with out ripping off the upper levels of fiberglass too.
