yet another Slat Resonator query

Perhaps I'm a bit on the slow side, but I seem to be a bit confused about these slot resonator things. From what I've read (on here and various other sources), there seems to be conflicting theories on if the cavity behind the slots needs to be sealed (e.g. airtight) or not. Either way, using a Coca-Cola bottle as a model, I have to agree with the cavity being sealed; the only passage for air to enter is at the mouth. That said, I came up with a structure design (based off the vast amount of info from this forum) that's somewhat modular in design, and could be implemented into many different floor plans. tell me what you guys think.

Now, the other questions I had where the type of insulation required to make these things work properly. Do you want to use rigid fiberglass (e.g., OC 703...if so, what thickness?) or can you use batting, like 3.5" R13 insulation? Does it matter if the batting is Kraft-faced? Also, does it matter if the insulation is butted up against the wood slats (seperated via cloth of course) or should there be an air gap, allowing the slats to resonate freely?

Thank you for your time.
