1st Post - Losing My Mind Over Broadband Absorbers

I've been a long time lurker and have finally been given the go ahead to hang some absorbers in our little music room.

The room is 2600mm x 2900mm x 2400mm.
There are bookcases in 2 corners either side of a window - basically one 2600 wall is completely used
There is an 800mm bookcase in the middle of the opposite 2600 wall.

The idea is to have a small area that I can use to record acoustic guitar and vocals and I have been getting some ok results with packing blankets but it's only temporary.

I really wanted to build bass traps and broadband absorbers for the room but for the life of me I cannot get decent absorption material here in Ballarat. Tontine Acoustisorb is expensive and would also require special order and delivery and anything else in the 48kg/m3 range needs to be ordered in really large quantities. Polyester is also really preferred :)

So now I'm looking at off the shelf products like http://www.primacoustic.com/london8.htm or http://soundacoustics.com.au/product/ro ... -room-kit/

Thoughts and comments are much appreciated - I will endeavour to get some images of the room as I understand this description is really lacking.

Thanks guys and thanks John for an excellent forum and resource
