Isolation problem

Hi everybody.
I will, in a not to distant future, start to build my own studio, and i have some questions. please have understanding for my english =).
I´ve gotten hold of a room (attic) that is located on the second floor of a youth center. So my main problem is to keep it isolated down through the floor. But also one wall is conected to the youth center.
But my question is concerning the floor.
The floor is a wooden floor. (i´ll have to get back with thickness). Is it possible to float my studiofloor on the existing wooden floor. Is it rigid enough not to "spread" the vibrations to the lower floor?
How would i solve this problem the easiest way?
thankful for any reply
