Reflection filters for non treated room

Hola!
I'm happy the google Gods lead me to these forums. I was just trying to pass some ideas around and looking for suggestions on setting up my room. I singer and I write songs and play guitar and on a good day I do all 3 at the same time. My quiet area is my walk in closet that makes good for me when it's not being used as a closet. With a wife that likes to claim every wall in the house as hers to decorate I don't have much space of my own to go hanging up panels and the sorts. I am trying to however get my music sounding a bit better than it currently does. I'm recording with nothing special as of now just a simple multtrack Boss BR8 and an MXL mic. What I've been looking into adding to my setup is a reflection filter. I've been looking at the SE Reflexion filter http://www.seelectronics.com/reflexion-filter-pro and the Soundkitz AE-F http://www.soundkitz.com/main.htm. I've hear mostly good things about them both except ones cheaper and seems more in my budget. Before I pull the trigger I just wanted to get some more ideas about getting my hands into a reflection filter and if you think it might help me out. Really I know I could stand to upgrade my equipment but with everything else comming out my wallet each month it's just not in my budget right now.
Thanks for listening folks
