Not a studio, just my desk, still need advice

Made this in sketchup and just looking for advice pertaining to joinery and materials.
Pretty sure it will be stable with rack mount equipt installed but don't want it falling apart if I need to move one day.
Also not sure if it better to go with plywood or MDF.
Any advice would be great.
