Best place for acoustic treatment (pictures)

Whats up people,
I just moved into a new apartment and the acoustics are way different from the place I was just in, which makes me think it is time to try and treat my room so i can balance it better. It sounds as if there is a significant amount more reverb in the sound compared to my last place. As you can see from the picture, it is a fairly narrow area.
My question is what are the best places to place foam to try and balance out the room acoustically. I am not sure how much I am going to be able to afford, so it would help if you could reccomend the most important places first. Also, is there anything else I can do to help treat this room aside from purchasing foam. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
