when making a membrane trap does the inside insulation have to be rigid fiberglass, or would anything that would restrict movement work......

i have a whole bunch of useless 2" styrophome closed cell, and was wondering if that stuf would work close to the membrane?

Hello Figurehead,
i have a whole bunch of useless 2" styrophome closed cell
I'm sorry to say, but it will remain useless untill you find a thermal or whatever other creative purpose for it.

If using it in a membrane trap it will acts (about) as if the air volume (or depth) decreases thereby increasing the resonance frequency.
