Hi. In one of John's photo site's that I saw on the web there was an insulated container he did for someone in Australia. He mentioned the original refrigeration polystyrene insulation was useless for sound.

Here I was in Adelaide ready to spend $3,900 for an insulated 20 foot container when I may as well save myself over $1000 and buy a normal container and just build the standard room within a room. For those who might know would this be correct?

Yup. Polystyrene doesn't have a lot of use, acoustically. Closed cell. Good for thermal insulation, but not much good for acoustics. So save yourself the money, and spend it on useful stuff!

John - A while back I sent a zip of some updated pics for the under construction website but didn't hear back and not sure whether you received them.
