I am trying to find a spectrum analysis graphs showing the frequency response on a few different monitor speakers. It seems that most speaker manufacturers do not publish them... and if they do, whats to say they are telling the truth? They are not going to show you it if it is absolute crap are they? nobody would ever buy their speakers... It seems really easy to obtain them for microphones, but not speakers!!! Whats that all about??
I was wondering if anyone on here has carried out independant tests, or if you know of any websites that publish this information.
The speakers i need them for are: Rokkit KRK 6, Rokkit KRK 8 and ADAMS A7's
Thanks
john

Re: SPEAKER SPECTRUM ANALYSIS CHARTS....
Sadly, the monitor tests for frequency response are seldom the issue. It's the speaker distortion and other characteristics which are more of an issue. One choice is to find magazines which do technical testing of speakers and if they are independent enough will often provide good analysis. The speakers you list all get rave reviews from their owners so it will boil down to you going and listening to each to determine if what you hear on your reference CD is effective for you so you can make proper mix decisions.

I don't have any for the Rokkits, but I do have for the A7, since I happen to own a pair of those.
Unfortunately, they are in German, but you can figure out the graphs easily enough.
Hope that's useful for you!

a set of measurements wont tell you if you have a good speaker but it will tel you the difference between a good and a great speaker
