There's no dimensions on your plan. Don't worry about being new to it all - it's a confusing subject, but you will find a lot of people willing to help you here.
Did you check out Johns plans here
http://www.saecollege.de/reference_material/index.html - dependant upon the dimensions of your space you might find one of the designs is a starting point.
Check out smartdraw - you can get a free trial copy to make up your drawings

Ok. I answered your last post here is my answer to this post Just as Andrew said, what are you dimensions, etc....
Here is a public view of your diagram

length is 22ft. (from vocal booth to the couch) the width is 27ft.
Yes, those are bass traps, nothing special but behind the one where the couch is there is also a sump pump. The entire wall to the left is brick (dead wall) also for the back of the studio is all brick.

You have much more space than is revealed by this diagram.
Need 2 more dimensions from you. The width of the control room (from south wall to where the vocal booth starts)
And the length of the vocal booth. We have overall, but not the smaller dimensions.

from the south wall to the vocal booth is 16.5ft long. the length and width of the vocal booth is 13x5.5ft

Ceiling height would be good to have, too.
Here's a question for Knightfly and John and the other elder voices here... he's got what is basically a symmetrical setup at the mixing desk, but behind his listening position is the big opening into the next room to the right, as you look at the plan.
Does that kind of opening or adjoined room mess with the stereo image, even if it's behind the listening position? How far back would it have to be to NOT mess with your stereo sound?
Because from looking at it, my first reaction is to continue that wall across there and install a door. With a 22'x27' room he's got plenty of space in there, unless those dimensions include that space to the right.
It is kinda tough to get the hang of this stuff, Wallsstreet. If you can sketch this out on paper, and draw in the dimensions, and then scan it and post it, someone here can redraw it on SmartDraw or AutoCAD or something- I'll do it unless someone else gets to it first.

those deminsions do include the space to the right.
the ceiling is just 7ft high, which I plan on doing a slant all the way back to the south wall.

well one i'd reorient the control position (-90) Degrees.
The next questions are how far are you willing to go?? Do you want temporary treatments or something permanent. if temporary, check out the DIY boxes on the main web page.
If premanent, look around the forum and decide how deep down the rabbit hole you wanna go.
The vocal room,Angle at least 2 of the walls, possibly using 2 of the portable slat resonator designs by john.
And Deaden your ceiling, keeping the floor live (no carpet.)

Because of the angle, I really can't get an exact measurement (with the limited tools i have lol) it's approx. 5ft, 4.5 to 5ft.
