Would this work instead of 703?

Find out where to get building materials in your local area. If you find a good outlet post it and others will be able to access it through the search engine.

Would this work instead of 703?

Post by arttanner »

Why is this 703 stuff so damn hard to find!?

after searching this forum for days trying to find something, i came across a post from 2005 which redirected me to some products made by Ottawa Fibre.
i went through the list of products, comparing all the specs to the 703 and found something that i think could be better? I am new to all this, so i thought id run it by you guys.

It is equivalent to 703. Have you considered what you are complaining about? Not finding 703 where you live. Without knowing that, your question is nebulous at best. BTW a couple of suiteble 703 like materials and their makes are listed at

Bob Gold's Absorption Coefficients page

Thanks Andre. Not finding OC703 in my area wasnt really a question, i was just complaining out of frustration. i gave up on finding that stuff years ago haha. But I live in Burlington, a stone throw away from you!

I ended up going with the OFI board which turned out to be a lot cheaper than 703.

About $50 for a case of 6 2" thick pieces. i havent completed making all of my panels yet, but with the few i have up already, the difference is unbelievable!
