This forum has been so helpful and important to me over the last few years. Two years ago, my wife and I built a new home in Fort Worth, TX. The guys involved with this forum helped me design and build the studio within the home. You can see both of my posts and all the responses here:

We are putting our house up for sale as of this week. It sits on an acre lot, so there will never be a noise complaint from the neighbors. There's even plenty of room for expansion if necessary. The studio space is 26x19 total, sliced into 2 rooms if you look at the "Studio design" post above as laid out by Kendale. I was very specific about the construction of the studio and size of the control room for resonant frequency purposes. Rod's book was used throughout the process for window and door construction along with electrical and HVAC specs. The house/studio were built by one of the best builders in Dallas/Fort Worth: DR Moss Quality Custom Homes. Danny, the builder/owner of that company lives in the neighborhood and stands behind his product 100%. The house is more contemporary/minimalist styling inside, with a traditional stone/brick exterior. Click on this link for pics and more details of the house: http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhom ... 51030?mp=1
If you know of anybody looking for a house in this area, your recommendation is greatly appreciated!
Once this place sells, I'll be back for more advice and research regarding my new space. Thank you so much for looking at this post!

Re: Studio for sale
Where are the pictures of the finished studio?
You guys installed brick veneer over an OSB structural sheathed wall without installing a house wrap (tyvek) over the osb...shame on you
