Through the wall HVAC - which one to choose?

Hi everybody!

Is there someone out there who can recommend an HVAC of this type?

In Sweden these HVACs are not at all as common as in the States. I talked to the leading ventilation company over here, and they had three different products to choose from - the one with the highest fresh air supply provides a mere 10% of the oxygen needed.

So, has anyone used the "through the wall-method" with an air chamber, described in Rods book (pages 131-132)?

Can anyone recommend a system that provides 100% of the needed oxygen, dehumidification and enough cooling for a live room, as well as heating when the studio's not used. Perhaps without being too noisy?

My single-room studio is 25 m2 + 5 m2 for the air chamber, takes a maximum of 4 people and produces a total of 3000 W/h of heat load at most.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Johan,

if you can't find units that will meet 100% of your needs - choose the unit that comes closest - and then supplement that with a seperate outside fresh air supply that WILL provide the difference - pumped into the chamber just in front of the through the wall unit to allow it to mix..

It isn't that deep........ you're just over thinking this.

Thanks, Rod!

I thought creating a separate fresh air vent might work! That is some seriously good news! Now I can finally go down to business and have this build wrapped up! Will post some pictures for everyone on this forum to see.

Bless ya!
