Slat/slot resonators

Regarding John's plans for corner slat resonators, are the overall dimensions critical? I have a room that is 6.5 metres by 4.5 metres. If I build to Johns specs, would I have to customise the size of the boxes to suit my room, or are the boxes just a good general size for any room?

Thanks for the great site

Customization will happen, I'd seek after the keepng the depth consistent.

As you are trying TRAP the bass freq's if it goes deeper that will be fine. Shallower will reduce it's effectiveness somewhat.

So Overall they are good genrally for most situations but there may be some customization for your specific circumstances.

B 4 you quote me, I am curious though, is your room not square?

do you have a rough drawing of it?

Wow. It's not until I draw it out that I realise what a crappy shape my room is. Do you think I need all those bass traps? I don't mind losing a bit of room if it's going to sound better. My ceiling is 2.3 metres high. This is the best plan I could come up with. I think I could really use some suggestions. I know this post should be in the design forum, but my original query was about the resonators.
Thanks

So you want to build a temporary studio. you have ample room to build a control room and booth of decent size with a lobby area.
