pwer Panel in Machine room

Post by shauli »

Hi guys,
Need some of your opinion.
I am in construction of my studio and we placed the 2 sub panels of the electric power (grounded and regular) in the machine room, the machine room is about 4'x4'. we have all the audio wires going to this closet.

It will a major major job with a major price tag to move these sun panels to a different location. How critical the situation is?

Can I remedy the problem with some type of shielding? any suggestions, any opinions?
Thanks.

Are both sub-panels on one wall?
Are most of the AC power wires on the same wall?
Does this building have any unusual AC equipment (things that generate lots of EMI/RFI) ?

Tell us more about the audio wires:
Are they on a different wall?
Are they terminated in this to a switch-panel or equipment?

Hi,
Yes both sub panels are on the same wall next to each other.
No unusual AC equip.

The AV wires coming to a different wall than the panels, they are inside EMT and they ending up in isolated box. There is also raceway in the slob floor and many AV wires comes from there. the wires will be connected to equipment rack.

I don't think that you will have any problems at all.
