I built some bass traps.. check 'em out

Post by jbassino »

So i finally started building 6 broadband bass traps ( 24"x48"x4") to put in my new studio.
So far not that hard to build. I just finished 1, and still have 5 more to go (put insulation and fabric)

I spent arround $30 us on pine wood, $30 on fiberglass panels (12 units, 24"x48" 2" thick... these are kind of fluffy kind of rigid, i think its normal reading another posts... dunno about the density tho, that's the only thing i could find in "panels", all the rest were just fluffy fiber and mineral glass "rolls"..
And the fabric were about $20 for all 6 panels.

These are some pictures of the construction... please tell me what you think ;)

Nice ones, jbassino!
I've linked it in the How to: Acoustic panels sticky.

However, those are more like midrange/allround absorbing panels instead of basstraps.
Add more volume and you'll be trapping more bass.

Hey jbassino! Congrats on the construction man! I see you live in Chile! I am planning on going to Santiago next week to buy some material, could you provide me with the info on the dealer of fiberglass or rockwool? Where did you bought the fabric?

Geez man so glad I found out someone who actually did the thing!

Also the pics have been deleted, could someone re up them?

Greetings!

It looks like the photos were hosted off-site, at Imageshack, instead of on the forum as we ask in the forum rules. Apparently the images either expired, were deleted, or moved, so the links no longer work, unfortunately.
