Completing a Mix Room

After design and construction of a mix room. Is it assumed that the designer would analyze and "tune" the room?

depends - generally speaking, rooms will need tweaking after construction so i'd say the designer should be involved in the process. sometimes the design only calls for the basics and then someone else is contracted to come in and getting the final adjustments made and the equipment calibrated. this process of tweaking can go on for a year as the owner/users of the studio become aware of how the space is behaving and find things that need tweaking.
