Drum Practice Room - Bare Bones Treatment

I'm a drummer with very little knowledge of acoustics. I've just completed a drum practice/teaching studio. My dimensions are 8'2" by 10'8" by 7'6". All walls are plasterboard. I'm not going to be recording in the room, so I don't need to create listening areas or anything complex like that. I'm simply looking for some advice on using acoustic foam tiles (or perhaps other DIY treatments) just to roll off some of the highs and mids from cymbals, snare drums etc. What kind of things do I need to think about - i.e. how do I go about figuring out where to place the tiles to control a little of the reverb in the room and to cut out some mids and highs?

try some mineral wool, or ridged fiberglass 2x4 ft. pannels. Cover it with some cloth and set them up around the room
