well,
Thought I had it, then I didn't! Some of the cables are a few feet too short.....Gonna have to wait for couplers and extensions to show up on Friday then test it all again...Testing won't take long once they get here at least. I hope it works....
Thank god the Thunderbolt was long enough...That would have been a show stopper!

Cool! Did you build it exactly to the dimensions in the model? It looks a bit off... Probably just an optical illusion from the camera angle. Don't forget that, because it will be hung at an angle, you can't just put it up flat against the ceiling and build the framing to match the soffits like that.... the angles of the framing pieces change greatly when you tilt the cloud to the correct angle....
Just sayin' . . .

Alright the trim is done and we are on the cloud!...That should go quick compared to the dreaded trim..
I hate trim !!!!! no fun...
Stuart, in case I have trouble finding carpet scraps, did you say I could use layers of cloth?

It's looking pretty amazing, Frank! Great work!
And the latest REW data is looking nice too... If I have time later today or tomorrow, I'll try to post some graphs, to show how we are doing, then we can compare that with the new graphs after the cloud is up. Then add the subs, and start tweaking those, while you build the desk!
The end is in sight! Getting close now...

Hi Stuart,
The back line of the cloud is going to be more like 2" from the ceiling as opposed to 1 3/8"... Can't imagine it will make much of a difference.

No problem! That's fine.

Almost done with the placement....just need to set the front anchors. This is bar far the hardest part....the rest will be cake in comparison. Its impossible for me to get a perfect pic with no weird looking angles but it looks good to the naked eye.
Also Here is a pic of the carpet remnant I got Stuart. Might as well make sure you aprove...

Is it breathable? It looks like it isn't.... It needs to be breathable. "Breathable" meaning that if you hold it over your mouth, you can breath through it with little extra effort.

it's marginal, but it'll work.
