Personally.... I would advise you against soffit-mounting your LSR28s. Nothing against you Giles or anyone else, but I am talking from experience of using the same LSRs in our studio here for quite a while now.

Our LSR28s are free-standing and we are getting very tight and accurate mixes from them that way (demo and commercial release mixes). I am not so sure that that would be the case if they were soffit-mounted; especially since they are rear-ported monitors.

I know sjoko has his LSR28s soffit- mounted, but again, I am not personally for soffit-mounting this particular monitor or any other rear-ported monitor for that matter.

Just my 2 cents.

JBL have approved of soffit mounting these speakers.

We have the 32's, which are not rear ported, only front ported.. They look just like the 12" sub, except they aren't powered and have a mid and a tweeter.. :D

but, thanks for trying to chime in.. I always enjoy other peoples thoughts on everything :D :D

any more thoughts on the layout??
