New Studio Building, Cape Town....

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Now that the floor and doorway is done we have the final dimensions. Ive attached a JPEG of the stud framing and ceiling trusses as well as the sketchup file.

I now have to design the RFZ......i am trouble with this mainly with the angles of the side walls. Is there a thread dealing with ray tracing? Or maybe a helpfull soul could help me with this? (the sketchup file attached)

There are several threads on ray-tracing, but unfortunately I don't have any bookmarked. But if you use the "search" feature on the forum, you should be able to find information on how to do it.

Stuart offered me a great tutorial in my thread a few months back - it helped me out immensely! Perhaps start there.

ordered the wood for the walls and ceiling joists for inner room. 50 x 114 mm for walls and 50 x150mm for joists. wood will be treated and bottom rails sealed with a varnish/linseed oil mix.

not sure if i am going to use nails or screws to put it together.....what is recommended method? screws or nails?
